Cancellation Policy

Let’s face it! Things happen.  No one likes to pay for something they’re not going to use.  We get it.  We really do!  However, when a booking comes in our amazing pet sitters organize their life to make certain your animals needs are met at the scheduled time and convenience for you. We are a boutique pet care service and adhere to a strict no overbooking policy. We will turn away business when our sitters are assigned to care for your pets.

In order to provide the absolute best care to our clients, keep our team members happy and productive, and ensure our office is operating as efficiently as possible, we have implemented a Heidi’s Hounds Cancellation Policy on all appointments.

For major holiday weeks and school vacation weeks a non refundable payment in full is due when service is booked. 

For all other times of the year (non holiday and non school vacation weeks)

Cancel 0 – 24 hours: Service will be charged

Major Holidays include New Years Eve, New Years Day, President’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. School vacation weeks are President’s Week, Patriot’s Week and Christmas to New Years Week.

Overnight House Sitting, Pet Lodging, Multi Day Pet Sitting and Tuck In Services

For major holiday weeks and school vacation weeks, a non refundable payment in full is due when service is booked. 

For all other times of the year (non holiday and school vacation weeks) we require a 50% deposit to guarantee service.  The balance due is required on the day of your first visit.  

Cancel 0 – 48 hours prior to first day of service:  Balance for entire service will be charged

Cancel 2 – 7 days prior to first day of service: 50% of your deposit is non refundable. The remaining 50% will be placed on your account for future use.

Cancel 8 days or more prior to the first day of service: 100% of your deposit is placed on your account for future use.

If you need to modify any part of your scheduled reservation (leaving later than expected or home earlier than expected) the following policies apply except for holidays and school vacation weeks.

Modify 0 – 48 hours prior to first day of service:  Balance for entire service will be charged

Modify 8 days or more prior to the first day of service: 100% of your deposit is placed on your account for future use.
